About The Position

The Supply Chain Specialist performs accurate, high-quality transactional work in a high-volume environment. The role interacts with departments and employees across the corporation to support timely receipt of material goods, ensure timely online transfers of materials, and research and resolve supply chain issues and discrepancies. The position requires independent judgment and initiative.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of related experience in material receiving, order processing, supply chain, accounts payable, or other relevant work.
• Advanced alphanumeric data-entry skills.
• Self-directed and detail-oriented, with the ability to learn quickly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow step-by-step processes and apply critical-thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
• Previous experience with SAP and Coupa.
• Basic understanding of supply chain processes and procedures.
• Ability to travel to other sites if needed.

Responsibilities

• Process material shipment receipts by obtaining documentation, reviewing and verifying data, resolving discrepancies, and entering receipts into SAP.
• Process work order transfers by reviewing transfer requests, ensuring work orders and components are set up correctly, resolving discrepancies, and entering transfers into SAP.
• Process transformer movements between Xcel Energy plant codes in SAP by processing orders, receiving transformers, and issuing them.
• Perform other assigned duties, which may include daily reconciliations, processing credit memos, monitoring and resolving invoices without receipts, training others, and filing accurate and complete system records.
