About The Position

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in managing the sourcing and procurement of components and finished goods. You'll collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to keep our production plans on track, inventory levels healthy, and supply issues minimal. The Supply Chain Specialist at Tandem is also responsible for managing purchase orders and supplier communications to support production needs, sending accurate forecasts and planning updates to vendors, tracking and maintaining optimal inventory levels and lead times, resolving delivery issues and supplier performance concerns quickly, handling change orders, part setups, and BOM updates in the ERP system, ensuring data integrity across item masters, MRP inputs, and component records, collaborating with Engineering and Contract Manufacturers to validate BOMs, and supporting sourcing for new products, long-lead buys, and end-of-life components. Overall Supplier Management includes conducting supplier reviews and assisting in QBRs, negotiations, and KPI tracking to ensure peak performance, driving continuous improvement efforts across procurement and material flow, and ensuring compliance with company policies including Privacy/HIPPA and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in material procurement, with change order experience, required.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of MRP planning, purchasing processes, and inventory management.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and support manufacturing requirements.
  • Effective communicator, capable of navigating both strategic discussions and tactical execution.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, planning, and manufacturing teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
