About The Position
The Supply Chain team is a fast-paced, collaborative group focused on ensuring seamless material flow, supplier coordination, and on-time delivery to meet customer demands. They work closely across functions to proactively manage shortages, optimize inventory, and drive continuous process improvements in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables & V-lookup).
- Minimum of four years of experience in production/supplier planning and purchasing/supply chain management.
- Bachelors degree in a related field, an Associates degree in a related field with a minimum of seven years’ experience in production/supplier planning and purchasing/supply chain management; or a high school diploma with ten years of experience in production/supplier planning and purchasing/supply chain management.
- Automotive industry experience.
- Experience using SAP.
- Exceptional data entry skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- APICS certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Run customer-specific bill of material checks
- Compile weekly SMT tracker demand for shortage components
- Compile supplier commitment/shipment updates within tracker
- Understand plant usage and customer run-out dates and escalate shortages as needed
- Address carrier delivery issues for inbound/outbound material.
- Compile Customer Tracker info as needed
- Expedite material shortages and provide purchasing support
- Ensure balance of stock on-hand between plants during shortages
- Understand material flow within plant – SAP locations and transactions
