About The Position

The Supply Chain Specialist role focuses on data analytics and reporting within indirect procurement. This position is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports related to spend, supplier performance, savings, and procurement KPIs. The role involves conducting spend analytics, developing reporting cadences, and creating executive-level presentations. Additionally, the specialist will support procurement operations by providing data-driven analysis for category strategies, sourcing events, and contract management. A key aspect of the role is managing and improving the data infrastructure, serving as the primary Power BI developer for the Indirect Procurement team, and collaborating with IT and Finance on data governance. The position also requires strong stakeholder engagement, translating business questions into analytical frameworks and presenting findings to various internal teams and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Finance, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in procurement analytics, supply chain analysis, business intelligence, or a related data and operations function.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling (DAX), report development, dashboard design, and workspace administration required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, and financial modeling.
  • Experience with spend analytics, ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle), or eProcurement platforms preferred.
  • Ability to extract, clean, and transform large datasets from multiple sources into structured, analysis-ready formats.
  • Solid understanding of indirect procurement categories, sourcing processes, and supply chain fundamentals.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports covering indirect spend, supplier performance, savings pipeline, contract compliance, and procurement KPIs.
  • Develop and manage recurring procurement reporting rails, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadences, ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and business relevance.
  • Conduct spend analytics across indirect categories (CapEx, Facilities, IT, Travel, HR, Marketing, Equipment, Corporate Services) to identify trends, anomalies, leakage, and savings opportunities.
  • Build and maintain spend taxonomies, supplier master data, and commodity classifications to support consistent and accurate reporting.
  • Create executive-ready scorecards, visualizations, and presentations that communicate procurement performance, savings, and strategic insights to leadership.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests from Category Managers, Procurement leadership, Finance, and Operations stakeholders.
  • Develop pricing benchmarks, should-cost models, and market comparison analyses to support sourcing decisions and negotiations.
  • Partner with Category Managers to provide data-driven analysis that supports category strategy development, opportunity identification, and sourcing execution.
  • Support end-to-end sourcing events (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs) through bid analysis, supplier scoring models, total cost of ownership (TCO) calculations, and scenario modeling.
  • Track and report on savings pipeline, realized savings, and cost avoidance in alignment with Finance and procurement leadership requirements.
  • Assist in building and maintaining supplier scorecards, tracking supplier performance metrics including on-time delivery, fill rates, quality, and compliance.
  • Support contract management activities by maintaining contract databases, tracking key dates, renewal windows, and obligation milestones.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of procurement policies, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Serve as the Indirect Procurement team's primary Power BI developer and analytics resource, owning dashboard architecture, data model design, and report publishing.
  • Connect and integrate data from ERP, eProcurement, contract management, and supplier systems into centralized analytics environments.
  • Identify gaps in data quality, system integrations, and reporting infrastructure; recommend and implement improvements to enhance data reliability.
  • Support the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of procurement technology tools, including Workday Strategic Sourcing, spend analytics platforms, and supplier management systems.
  • Develop and document data definitions, report logic, and dashboard governance standards to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance to ensure alignment on data governance, taxonomy standards, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Act as an embedded analytics partner to Category Managers and procurement leadership, translating business questions into analytical frameworks and insights.
  • Present data findings, dashboard outputs, and procurement performance updates to internal stakeholders in a clear, concise, and business-relevant manner.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Operations, IT, and Facilities by delivering procurement data that informs broader business decisions.
  • Participate in supplier business reviews and QBRs by preparing performance data packages, trend analyses, and supporting materials.
  • Contribute to the Procurement Transformation roadmap by identifying analytical capabilities, reporting enhancements, and process automation opportunities.
