About The Position

This role is open to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. The Supply Chain Representative will be responsible for processing and managing customer orders, maintaining customer master data, reviewing purchase orders, coordinating special customer requests, and monitoring customer receivables. The role also involves inventory management, import and logistics coordination, issue resolution, compliance management, and cross-functional collaboration with various teams to optimize supply chain performance.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage customer orders accurately and efficiently in SAP to ensure on-time delivery and high service levels.
  • Maintain customer master data, including contact information, shipping instructions, and communication records.
  • Review customer purchase orders for accuracy, including pricing, Incoterms, and other order requirements.
  • Coordinate special customer requests, delivery schedules, and transportation arrangements.
  • Monitor customer receivables and proactively follow up on outstanding balances to support timely payment collection.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and customers to resolve payment issues, minimize aged receivables, and reduce delinquent accounts.
  • Allocate available inventory to meet customer demand while considering transportation lead times and delivery commitments.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply constraints, shortages, or demand fluctuations to management and commercial teams.
  • Coordinate product movements between warehouses, terminals, yards, and customers in compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
  • Manage and optimize utilization of the LANXESS ISO container fleet, including inventory positioning, storage reduction initiatives, and equipment transfers.
  • Coordinate parcel and bulk product imports, partnering with global supply chain teams to ensure product availability, documentation accuracy, and timely scheduling.
  • Track inbound shipments and resolve transportation issues, including damaged equipment, routing changes, overweight shipments, and delivery disruptions.
  • Ensure accurate SAP transaction processing and product availability updates upon receipt of inbound inventory.
  • Investigate customer deductions, claims, and disputes, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures.
  • Calculate applicable demurrage and storage charges and prepare corresponding debit notes.
  • Coordinate corrective actions related to shipping errors, billing discrepancies, damaged or returned materials, and supplier performance issues.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for logistics-related customer concerns, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and operational procedures throughout all logistics activities.
  • Convert monthly demand forecasts into intercompany purchase orders and procurement requisitions within SAP.
  • Partner with global Business Unit Supply Chain teams to monitor product availability, shipment status, and transportation routing for North America.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities that enhance supply chain performance, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory through effective planning and disposition strategies to improve working capital and supply efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with Supply Chain Excellence, Operations, and Management teams.
