About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Programs Manager. This is a hybrid role based out of our GEIS Headquarters in Syracuse, NY. The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year. The Supply Chain Program Manager – Product & Supplier Enablement is responsible for improving inbound supply reliability and execution predictability across a $400M+ commercial products business, covering both externally sourced and internally manufactured products. The role owns supplier transaction integrity, supply execution issue management, and operational follow‑through to support accurate inventory, backlog conversion, and service performance. Acting as the execution extension of Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing, the position enables supplier and product transitions, cost and resilience initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts that reduce execution risk and manual rework. The role operates cross‑functionally in a lean environment and is designed as a succession‑ready position with broad exposure across supply chain, product, and sourcing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with suppliers, supporting sourcing or transition initiatives, and managing execution or quality issues in a complex operating environment.
  • All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY to be considered.
  • Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business Management, Economics, Supply chain, Analytics, Mathematics.
  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Experience with SAP or similar enterprise systems, advanced Excel, Power BI or comparable reporting tools, warehouse management systems, electronic data interchange–based supplier transactions, supplier performance analytics, and inventory execution analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and prioritize effective solutions.
  • Comfortable taking ownership and driving issues to closure with minimal supervision.
  • Clear, practical communicator able to work across sourcing, quality, operations, engineering, logistics, and customer service teams.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and maintain focus in a fast‑moving, service‑critical environment.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset focused on preventing repeat issues and improving execution reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure reliable supply execution for purchased and internally manufactured products by maintaining accurate supplier transactions and resolving inbound delivery and quality issues.
  • Act as a day‑to‑day point of contact for suppliers and internal teams to address delivery gaps, quality concerns, and data accuracy issues before they impact inventory or customer orders.
  • Spends significant time reviewing supply, inventory, and backlog data to identify trends, uncover root causes, and anticipate execution risks.
  • Investigates recurring issues and partners with suppliers, manufacturing, engineering, and logistics teams to implement corrective actions that prevent repeat disruptions.
  • Build and maintain practical reporting that highlights supplier performance, execution gaps, and emerging constraints.
  • Leads targeted improvement efforts to reduce manual rework and execution errors as volume and complexity increase.
  • Supports a lean supply chain organization by reducing execution noise and stabilizing day‑to‑day operations.
  • Play an important role in improving predictability and protecting service performance in a large, service‑critical business.
