Supply Chain Program Manager II

Blue Origin•Huntsville, AL

About The Position

The Supply Chain Program Manager (SCPM) is a supply chain owner who translates program demand, design, and schedules into executable sourcing strategies that deliver material on time and within budget. The role is embedded with engineering and manufacturing teams, participating in design reviews, trade studies, and production planning from early stages. It owns the end-to-end supplier lifecycle, from bid packages and competitive source selection to supplier qualification, contract negotiation, and readiness validation. The position operates in an AI-first environment that encourages automation of transactional work, with a focus on cost reduction, dual sourcing, and cycle-time compression. The role suits someone who works effectively amid ambiguity, moves quickly with incomplete information, and embraces technology and automation. This position is part of Blue Origin Operations, which includes Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance, supporting manufacturing and supply chain across Blue Origin facilities. The SCPM works with technical programs, Supply Chain Engineers, Commodity Managers, engineering, manufacturing, program leadership, and executive stakeholders. Travel of up to 25% is required for supplier visits, audits, and on-site problem-solving.
