Supply Chain Program Manager

Rolls-RoyceIndianapolis, IN
Hybrid

About The Position

This is a central role leading projects within the dedicated task force of DeliveryWorks, who is chartered to diagnose and permanently fix the root causes behind chronic delivery failures. As a Supply Chain Program Manager, you will own end-to-end initiatives within a portfolio of projects from problem definition through corrective action closure, serving as the primary integration point across programs, supply chain, planning, procurement, quality, engineering, and manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Associate degree with 7+ years of supply chain or operations experience and program/project management experience, OR Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of supply chain or operations experience, and program / project management experience, OR Master’s degree or higher with 3+ years of supply chain or operations experience, and program / project management experience, OR JD/PhD, OR 9+ years of supply chain or operations experience, and program / project management experience in lieu of a degree
  • U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Significant experience in supply chain and operations within a manufacturing industry
  • Understanding of ERP, MRP, planning systems, and data tools (Excel required; Power BI/Tableau a plus)
  • Understanding of key supply chain processes such as planning / SIOP, sourcing, manufacturing, delivery and delivery governance (short term interval control, rate readiness, ERP compliance, data integrity management).
  • Logistics, warehousing, and returns experience is not required
  • Strong track record driving cross-functional accountability without direct authority — this role must move people to closure, not just track them
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and complex environments
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central point of accountability for the assigned delivery improvement initiatives: charter, governance, and outcomes
  • Manage a portfolio of active and potential improvement projects, taking accountability for the schedule, milestones, risk, and regular reporting of progress.
  • Convene and run recurring task force reviews with cross-functional leads (planning, procurement, quality, manufacturing, engineering) to drive issues to closure — not just status updates
  • Maintain communications with stakeholders including status reporting to senior stakeholders as defined in the project governance structure for the assigned projects
  • Manage project changes, such as cancelling projects or changing scope of projects to react to changes in direction
  • Escalate systemic or cross-functional blockers to leadership with clear options and recommendations
  • Validate that implemented fixes eliminate recurrence through follow-up audits
  • Institutionalize permanent fixes into standard work — updated planning parameters, supplier requirements, or process controls — so the task force can eventually stand down
  • Support and/or lead communities of practice across the global DeliveryWorks program management team
