About The Position
The goal of Foodbuy’s Internship program is to provide an opportunity to engage in impactful projects, acquiring hands-on data analytics experience across departments in the organization while balancing professional development and leadership growth sessions within a dynamic, hybrid work environment. You will be placed on a team supporting one of our departments; some examples are Category Development, Sourcing, Account Management, Distribution, Data Intelligence, or Compliance. Foodbuy is the industry leader in procurement and supply chain solutions and is a subsidiary to Compass Group PLC. Foodbuy works with clients in the Hospitality, Restaurant, Healthcare, Education, Entertainment, and Gaming industries, and also supports Compass Group, the world’s largest contract food and support services provider.
Requirements
- Sophomore or Junior studying supply chain, finance, business, analytics or other relevant courses
- Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook
- Strong analytical and technical skills (Excel formulas, Power BI, AI automation, etc)
- Solid organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Learn about the Foodbuy supply chain network.
- Assist in process improvement, providing data-driven solutions to improve the reliability of Foodbuy’s purchase data.
- Involvement in special projects with cross-functional teams that support specific business initiatives.
- Understand what role Supplier Diversity and Sustainability play in Foodbuy's overall goals.
- Gain exposure to all internal Foodbuy systems.
- Meet with all Foodbuy departments to learn how they work together.
- Attend off-site sector, supplier and manufacturer tours.
