About The Position

The Manufacturing Integration and Transformation (MIT) team is seeking a Supply Chain Process Designer I role. This position is responsible for designing and implementing the material and information flow processes for projects. Key focus is understanding the complete end-to-end supply chain system and being a key contributor on small to medium scale, enterprise-wide projects. Candidate must be local to the MN area as no relocation assistance is available for this position. There is no sponsorship available for this position. This person will travel approximately 25% to other Andersen locations.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in project leadership, supply chain, IT, operations or manufacturing/industrial engineering preferred
  • Ability to effectively apply acquired knowledge and skills to a variety of assignments within a moderate range of technical difficulty.
  • Working knowledge and experience in material and information flow systems and processes such as ERP, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and lean methodology
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing processes such as pull systems, kanban systems, PDCA thinking, and value stream mapping.
  • Understands and applies methodologies associated with project planning.
  • Strong experience in building and maintaining relationships
  • Communicates effectively through written, verbal, listening, and presentation techniques.
  • Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with change management strategies
  • Cross-functional exposure preferred
  • Ability to travel if required, up to 25%

Responsibilities

  • Seeks to understand customers needs in detail and how to satisfy them using a strong aptitude in process improvement and problem solving.
  • Implement material, inventory, and information flow processes for the plan, make, source, and deliver strategies defined by business needs.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings, kaizen events, and value stream mapping sessions.
  • Design and procure material storage systems, material handling equipment, and computer hardware on small to medium scale projects.
  • Create and document basic information flow systems containing supply chain and IT deliverables to meet project objectives.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external business partners including engineers, IT, suppliers, supervisors, leads, etc.
  • Communicate assigned tasks and project status to project team and direct supervisor using status reports, meeting minutes, and formal updates.
  • Introduce new perspectives on existing solutions to continuously improve material and information flow processes.
  • Able to work as "in-charge" lead for supply chain specific tasks.
  • Informally provides direction to IT, scheduling, procurement, sourcing, vendors, etc.
