•$140,990 - $204,436

About The Position

The Demand Planning Manager leads monthly demand planning and CPFR/S&OP operating rhythms for an assigned portfolio and is accountable for strategic, business-aligned forecasting. The role translates data into business insight, aligns internal and external stakeholders around shared assumptions, and drives actions to improve forecast accuracy, reduce bias, strengthen the demand signal, and increase stakeholder confidence. The Manager leads through the team rather than serving as the primary day-to-day forecaster, ensuring analysts execute disciplined forecasting, system maintenance, reporting, and process standards. The role also oversees sales forecast reporting and goal setting. The Manager leads forecast governance and consensus planning, prepares and facilitates demand reviews, manages performance reporting and improvement actions, and communicates forecast changes, risks, assumptions, and recommendations. The role coaches and holds analysts accountable, delegates routine forecasting and system activities while retaining oversight, and manages team development and capacity. It also ensures accurate Logility and connected data maintenance, establishes repeatable planning standards and controls, and partners with technology and process teams on automation, reporting, system capability, and scalability. This job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of required activities, duties, or responsibilities. These may change at any time with or without prior notice.

Requirements

  • Four years of experience leading people, projects, or cross-functional planning processes.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating cross-functional planning reviews and communicating forecast risks, assumptions, and recommendations.
  • Strong command of statistical forecasting, forecast accuracy and bias, forecast change analysis, consensus planning, and tactical and strategic forecast processes.
  • Ability to set expectations, delegate, coach performance, follow through on commitments, and address performance gaps constructively.
  • Ability to communicate concisely and appropriately for the audience, connecting data with business impact, decisions, and actions.
  • Ability to build relationships, productively challenge assumptions, negotiate trade-offs, and gain alignment without relying solely on authority.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills, including synthesizing complex information, identifying root causes and anomalies, distinguishing demand from execution issues, and converting analysis into action.
  • Process management skills, including establishing repeatable standards, clarifying roles and deadlines, monitoring adherence, and improving process maturity and scalability.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capability; working knowledge of ERP and supply chain planning platforms such as Logility, JDA, Oracle ASCP, or similar tools.
  • Change leadership skills, including communicating a future state, organizing resources, managing resistance, and adjusting execution while maintaining standards and accountability.
  • Experience requirements may include a combination of work experience and education.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly demand planning cycle, ensuring tactical and strategic forecasts reflect customer, market, statistical, sales, and operational inputs.
  • Own forecast governance for the assigned portfolio, including documenting assumptions, forecast changes, reasons, risks, opportunities, and required decisions.

  • Ensure forecasts are published accurately, completely, on time, and communicated to downstream stakeholders.
  • Lead CPFR/S&OP and demand review preparation and execution, including objectives, agendas, pre-reads, decisions, and action logs.
  • Ensure meeting materials are concise, decision-oriented, and supported by a clear narrative; use pre-meetings and stakeholder outreach to prepare participants and resolve questions.
  • Build working relationships with customer, Sales, Business Execution, Planning, Finance, and leadership partners, and follow up on late or incomplete inputs, decisions, and actions.
  • Escalate material risks, unresolved decisions, missed commitments, and late or inaccurate customer inputs early enough to protect forecast publication and downstream planning.
  • Own monthly and weekly portfolio reporting on forecast accuracy, bias, attainment, forecast change, and other agreed demand planning KPIs.
  • Identify and communicate high-impact forecast improvement opportunities, root causes, corrective actions, owners, and due dates; monitor action closure and verify improvement.
  • Explain forecast changes, misses, assumptions, and risks using data-backed insights tailored to customer, functional, and leadership audiences.
  • Standardize reporting and communication across customers and brands so stakeholders share consistent data, definitions, and assumptions.
  • Set analyst standards for forecast quality, system maintenance, process adherence, meeting preparation, communication, and stakeholder follow-through.
  • Coach analysts in data analysis, communication, facilitation, and escalation; hold the team accountable for timely execution, accurate work, documented assumptions, clean system inputs, and agreed actions.

  • Delegate daily forecasting and routine system activities to appropriate analyst levels while maintaining managerial oversight, validation, and accountability.
  • Balance team workload and priorities and raise resource or capability risks with a mitigation plan.
  • Ensure Logility and connected forecasting data are accurately maintained so the demand signal flows into reports and downstream planning systems.
  • Validate analyst adherence to statistical model, parameter, item, organization, default, and data-maintenance standards; establish recurring controls to identify anomalies and prevent rogue or misplaced forecasts.
  • Drive standard work across customers and brands, including planning calendars, deadlines, templates, agendas, pre-reads, forecast change reporting, and action tracking.
  • Identify process or system gaps, define countermeasures, assign ownership, and sustain improvements through measurable controls.
  • Partner with technology and process teams to improve automation, self-service reporting, planning-system capability, and scalability.
  • Provide strategic input and oversight to departmental initiatives while maintaining ownership, timelines, and expected outcomes.
  • Create a safe, accountable working environment and communicate issues promptly and accurately.
  • Evaluate planning processes and introduce sustainable improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Hire and develop talent against role standards, business needs, and company values; maintain development and succession plans and address conflict constructively.
