Supply Chain Planning Manager

Mane•Los Angeles, CA

About The Position

Mane is a fast-growing haircare brand sold through Sephora in the US and Canada, Kohl's, Amazon, and direct-to-consumer channels. The Supply Chain Planning Manager owns the monthly planning cycle end to end and serves as the day-to-day link between Mane, its contract manufacturers, and its third-party logistics provider (3PL). The role reports to the VP of Operations and works closely with Sales, Digital, Finance, and Product Development. The position covers demand and supply planning, vendor and supplier coordination, customer order management, 3PL and fulfillment, freight and logistics, and supply chain data and reporting. It maintains planning and inventory information as reliable sources of truth, prepares analysis for S&OP reviews, and monitors operational performance and risks across the supply chain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in supply or demand planning, logistics, or operations in beauty, CPG, or e-commerce.
  • Experience running a planning cycle and placing POs, rather than only supporting those activities.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with a WMS or ERP and EDI.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BI tools.
  • Prestige retail compliance, Amazon operations, or DTC logistics experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales history, trends, and promotional plans with Sales and Digital to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Maintain the buy plan, open order report, and inventory snapshot as a consistent set of numbers on one cost basis.
  • Monitor inventory across channels and flag SKU-level stockout and excess risks ahead of the PO window.
  • Plan launches, transitions, and discontinuations, including old-to-new code changes.
  • Place and track POs with contract manufacturers and packaging suppliers; maintain lead times, MOQs, and price tiers in master data.
  • Manage reorder production schedules, track vendor performance, and flag delays or quality issues early.
  • Track wholesale customer orders for accuracy and on-time delivery.
  • Manage retail POs through EDI, routing guides, and TMS windows; request extensions before they lapse.
  • Resolve order discrepancies and keep internal teams and retail partners updated on status.
  • Work with the 3PL on PO entry and closeout, receiving, inventory discrepancies, cycle counts, returns to vendor (RTVs) and damages, kitting, and reserves.
  • Monitor fulfillment against SLAs and surface bottlenecks and fixes.
  • Book and manage inbound freight from contract manufacturers and overseas suppliers with the freight forwarder, tracking shipments through delivery.
  • Coordinate outbound retail shipments, ASNs, and carrier appointments with the 3PL.
  • Manage customs documentation and brokers for imports and Canada exports, including overlabel runs and customs declarations.
  • Track freight and duty costs against plan and flag variances to Finance.
  • Own the item master and open order report as sources of truth for reporting.
  • Build and maintain reporting on fill rate, forecast accuracy, inventory health, and supply chain KPIs using Excel and BI tools.
  • Prepare S&OP analysis for planning reviews.
