Supply Chain Planning Analyst (EV Battery Solutions)
About The Position
Cox Automotive is transforming the way the world moves and is driving the future of electric vehicle sustainability through its EV Battery Solutions business. This business delivers innovative solutions for battery diagnostics, repair, reuse, and recycling. The Supply Chain Planning Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support production and customer demand. This role involves forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, and coordinating material flow across the supply chain to minimize disruption and optimize performance. The position may be filled at the Analyst I or Analyst II level, depending on experience. The role will either support (Level I) or independently manage (Level II) inventory planning activities, while partnering with cross-functional teams to drive accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field (or 4 years’ experience in a related field for Analyst I)
- Working knowledge of inventory management systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) for Analyst I
- Basic data analysis and reporting capabilities for Analyst I
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy across multiple systems for Analyst I
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for Analyst I
- Ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced environment for Analyst I
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field and 2 years’ experience in a related field (or a master’s degree and up to 2 years’ experience; or 6 years’ experience in a related field for Analyst II)
- Strong knowledge of ERP and inventory management systems for Analyst II
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., data analysis, pivot tables, reporting) for Analyst II
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for Analyst II
- Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable decisions for Analyst II
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills for Analyst II
- Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.

Responsibilities
- Forecast demand and support material planning using historical data, production schedules, and consumption trends
- Monitor inventory levels and replenishment activity to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excess
- Process and validate material orders while maintaining accurate inventory data across systems
- Generate and analyze inventory reports and key performance indicators (e.g., inventory turnover, days on hand, stock-outs)
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations
- Manage excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate material flow to support production schedules, including labeling and stock rotation
- Proactively manage backorders and reorders, partnering with suppliers and internal teams to minimize disruptions
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, production, warehouse operations, and suppliers to align supply with demand
- Communicate inventory risks, supply constraints, and performance insights; escalate and recommend solutions as needed
- Support or lead process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, reporting, and operational efficiency
- Perform other duties as assigned
