The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for anticipating and forecasting operational, maintenance, and manufacturing rhythms. This role involves reviewing and communicating customer demand, prioritizing and scheduling work, and ensuring schedule attainment, throughput, and on-time delivery. The planner acts as a liaison between the customer and the plant, facilitating understanding of customer priorities and galvanizing efforts to achieve goals. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage and monitor inventory and information accurately. The planner must be able to adjust plans "behind the scenes" without causing disruption, create replicable processes, and manage time effectively. Ownership of tasks, including tracking down necessary information and enabling the success of others, is crucial. The role demands balanced attention, focusing on areas of greatest impact, asking "why?", adjusting to customer demands, and coordinating internal resources to deliver, often on short notice. The planner must be able to get things back on track when necessary and align solutions with internal resources. This role also involves interpreting outcomes, understanding complexity and priority for stakeholders, and being business-minded toward plant outcomes to create new levels of performance. The planner will communicate with customers regarding requirements and concerns, respond to inquiries about project status, open orders, and unresolved issues. Direct responsibility includes tracking open items, quoting changes to scope, securing purchase order coverage, and resolving contractual issues. The planner will process orders for an assigned portfolio, including order entry, review, acknowledgment, and resolution of delays. They will also adjust complaints, prepare production reports, and reconcile shipments daily. A key responsibility is producing final forecasts for the Business Center on a monthly basis.
