About The Position

The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for managing and optimizing the flow of goods, materials, and information across the supply chain. This role ensures product availability while minimizing costs and maintaining efficient inventory levels. The planner collaborates with procurement, production, logistics, and sales teams to align supply with demand. Biotage supports drug discovery and development, analytical testing, and improves human health with expertise in separation and purification technologies and versatile, intelligent workflow solutions for over 5,000 customers worldwide. The mission is to empower scientists to simplify and accelerate discovery and development. This position is located at the US Headquarters in Charlotte, NC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Logistics, or related field.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, or inventory management.
  • Proficiency in Excel and supply chain/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, D365)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Prior experience working within a continuous improvement environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Biotage supply chain organization in Sweden, UK and Japan to coordinate internal transfers/purchases between US and other distribution centers.
  • Develop and maintain supply and demand plans to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Purchase and expedite material from internal and external suppliers.
  • Review and analyze bi-monthly sea-freight orders to maximize freight savings.
  • Analyze forecasts, sales trends, and historical data to improve planning accuracy.
  • Coordinate with internal and external suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of material.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to reduce excess and shortages.
  • Identify and resolve supply chain disruptions or bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, finance) to align plans
  • Compile Supply Chain key performance indicators (KPI) reports including on-time delivery, SPE Dynamic Demand, Min/max review, order volume and others.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain process
  • Utilize ERP and planning systems to manage data and reporting.
  • Support the Charlotte warehouse as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
