About The Position

The Supply Chain Operations Specialist Senior is responsible for maintaining established inventory levels in supply areas for assigned procedural units in a hospital setting and/or high complexity off-campus care locations. This includes but is not limited to counting current stock levels, picking tickets from inventory locations, organizing and facilitating just-in-time deliveries to assigned units, managing consignment, and performing expiration checks on all supplies. The Supply Chain Operations Specialist Senior collaborates with Supply Chain Operations leadership and Procurement to mitigate supply disruptions and identify substitute items when necessary. The Supply Chain Operations Specialist Senior is also responsible for recommending inventory level changes to assure that supplies meet forecasted demand. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three years of previous experience in healthcare operations, warehousing, or distribution.
  • Stocking, and Distribution Protocols Knowledge of procedures for handling, storing, and rotating medical supplies.
  • Capable of completing, comprehending, and adhering to Endeavor training and education modules.
  • Ability to learn to effectively utilize handheld scanners, personal computers, and Endeavor Health’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a supply chain related field of study is preferred but not required.
  • Depending on the specific job duties, driver’s license may be required.
  • Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) is admired.
  • Works effectively with diverse teams, including clinical staff.
  • Adjusts to an everchanging healthcare environment and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures accuracy in data analysis and process documentation.
  • Clearly conveys ideas and findings to various stakeholders.

  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, count, and record inventory levels for all medical supplies in an inventory location.
  • Utilize various reports to troubleshoot supply disruptions and collaborate with Supply Chain Operations leadership and Procurement to mitigate these disruptions and identify substitute items as necessary.
  • Deliver medical supplies to various departments and ensure timely replenishment/put-away of stock.
  • Pick, pack, stage, and deliver supplies for orders that source internally.
  • Facilitate the reordering of consignment product after use.
  • Regularly review inventory stocking levels and make recommendations to assure supply meets or exceeds forecasted demand.
  • Regularly reviews backorder reports and collaborates with clinical and supply chain on strategies to mitigate any disruptions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply areas and stockrooms, including rotating stock and checking for expired items.
  • Create, foster, and maintain relationships with department secretaries, nurses, and charge nurses and provide frequent updates on the supplies stocked in the department.
  • Use department phones/Vocera/pagers to respond to supply requests.
  • Utilizing Endeavor technology, ensure accurate data entry into handhelds, computers, and expiration logs.
  • Check email regularly to stay up to date with departmental and system wide updates.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives such as process improvement, implementations, or regulatory readiness.
  • Adhere to all Endeavor policies, infection control protocols, and Joint Commission supply Standards.
