About The Position

MPG delivers radio frequency (RF) spectrum-centric solutions at the speed of technology. MPG operates engineering and manufacturing facilities in: Austin, TX; Columbia, MD; Ventura, CA; West Chester, OH; Salisbury, MD; Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; and York, United Kingdom. The primary function of this position is to lead the purchasing team to ensure efficient, complaint and timely flow of material to support manufacturing. Manage supplier performance, optimize cost, lead-time and ensure adherence to industry standards (AS9100). The role requires this to be accomplished within the company's principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win right culture, while meeting company financial and other key performance metrics.

Requirements

  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident – Green Card Holder
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related business field with five (5) years of supply chain management experience or 10 years of electronic or electro-mechanical supply chain management experience may be substituted
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with ability to communicate within all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of disciplines in a dynamic environment and motivate them to work together as a team
  • Experienced user of ERP systems (IFS, Peoplesoft, SAP, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate vision into action.
  • Computer and Microsoft Office literate (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • AS9100 experience required

  • Aerospace and Defense knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated strong leadership to direct a purchasing organization, implement change, and serve as a proactive leader as a part of the operational staff.
  • Responsible for actively sourcing and purchasing materials while developing strategies to optimize inventory, cost, and vendor performance.
  • Identify supply chain risks, and develop tools and mitigation strategies for alternative plans
  • Develop and manage key metrics and KPI’s relevant to the business and operational excellence
  • Create a culture of accountability and ownership of the sourcing processes within the group
  • Provide training and leadership and act as a change agent while representing a positive and enthusiastic role model to ensure high engagement across the team.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with management from all MPG sites
