The Supply Chain manager role provides consistent direction and guidance to the procurement, materials management, production scheduling and logistics teams to optimize the cost and delivery of materials and services to the manufacturing site. The supply chain manager ensures that supply is available to meet client demand and on-time delivery commitments. Additionally, the Supply Chain Manager is tasked with continuously reviewing supply chain functions and identifying areas of improvement to have efficiency in the production process. A supply chain manager must be knowledgeable in process management and development to understand how the overall company works. They coordinate, organize, and manage all logistics in the production and distribution process of site goods. The SC manager also manages people on the teams involved in the material flow process as well as the clients who receive the product, as well as manage client customer service functions. Supply chain manager must be highly proficient in networking and understanding the needs of the client.
