The Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in driving the execution, reliability, and scalability of G&G’s supply chain function. This is a hands-on, highly cross-functional role focused on ensuring materials, components, and finished goods flow efficiently from suppliers through production to customers with high reliability, cost effectiveness, and quality. Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end supply chain execution from demand planning through procurement and inventory management.
- Develop and manage supply plans that align with production schedules and customer demand.
- Ensure material availability to support manufacturing without overbuilding inventory.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, turns, and working capital.
- Drive accountability for supplier deliveries and internal material readiness.
- Identify risks to supply continuity and proactively mitigate disruptions.
- Ensure supply chain operates with urgency, discipline, and predictability.
- Own supplier relationships including performance, cost, quality, and delivery.
- Lead sourcing, supplier selection, and onboarding for new components and products.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms.
- Drive supplier accountability for on-time delivery and quality standards.
- Develop dual sourcing strategies and risk mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with Engineering on supplier capabilities and design for supply chain.
- Continuously evaluate supplier performance and drive improvements.
- Serve as a primary coordination point between Supply Chain, Engineering, Production, and Sales to align supply plans, production schedules, customer commitments, and business priorities.
- Coordinate material readiness for new product introductions (NPI), supporting smooth handoffs from design and sourcing through manufacturing and delivery.
- Identify supply chain bottlenecks and drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, supplier performance, inventory efficiency, and material flow.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for shortages, delays, excess inventory, and other recurring supply chain issues.
- Assist with the evaluation and implementation of an MRP/ERP system and supporting supply chain processes.
- Develop scalable tools, processes, and reporting to improve visibility, control, and execution as the company grows.
- Lead, manage, and hold accountable supply chain team member(s), providing clear priorities, expectations, coaching, and development to ensure strong execution and continued growth of the function.
- Conduct regular 1:1s and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development.
- Develop team capabilities through coaching, cross-training, and knowledge sharing to strengthen performance, coverage, and scalability within the supply chain function.
- Oversee inventory control processes including accuracy, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
- Support production teams with material availability and issue resolution.
- Ensure systems accurately reflect inventory, orders, and supply status.
