About The Position

Supply chain at Schreiber Foods includes activities related to demand planning, production planning, capacity and inventory management, sourcing and purchasing/replenishment of raw materials, distribution, redistribution, and transportation management. This position is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy to maximize efficiency while ensuring a profitable supply chain. Is accountable for a supply chain category and responsible for overall process design and improving the planning maturity to drive a world class, end to end process oriented team: including hiring, training and developing. Collaborates with internal business and commercial partners, establishing collaborative supply chain relationships to drive sustainable and profitable growth. Effectively measures and monitors key supply chain KPI’s. This role offers a flexible hybrid work schedule (Monday-Friday) located at our Home Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The hybrid work schedule is 3 days/week onsite at Home Office and 2 days/week from home.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of direct and progressive management experience across multiple areas of business in production, replenishment/purchasing, distribution, logistics and demand planning
• Demonstrated knowledge of building and developing end-to-end, best practice supply and demand processes
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Valid driver's license, auto insurance (at least state minimum- more might be required), acceptable driving record per Schreiber Foods discretion, and vehicle that will ensure applicant can meet the travel necessities of the position are required.

Responsibilities

• Understand and can quantify trade-offs between labor efficiency and space utilization within the distribution centers
• Performs analysis and develops business case to expand or optimize distribution centers.
• Collaborates with Supply Chain Planning and Operations to strategically plan for future distribution center requirements.
• Utilizes advanced network optimization tools to recommend logistics changes that improve profitability.
• Remains up to date with leading industry technology and best practices to drive continuous improvement in the areas of safety, cost, service, and quality.
• Responsible for delivering multiple system and/or business process improvements simultaneously through indirect and influential leadership.
• Works directly with mid and upper level management to ensure alignment on vision, strategy, and innovation.
• Works collaboratively across the organization to ensure short term execution aligns with the mid and long term organizational strategies
• Forecasts, monitors and achieves appropriate inventory levels of finished goods and raw materials to meet working capital goals while balancing the need to meet operational costs and customer service level expectations
• Responsible to align the organization around the category strategy, orchestrates the execution from end to end
• Develops a team culture of continuous improvement/transformation, accountability, influence and advocacy of change through partners, systems and processes for the entire supply chain team
• Performs financial analysis that provides recommendations accounting for total end to end supply chain costs that drive supply chain profitability
• Establishes master scheduling processes to optimize plant production through stable and credible plans across the US Network
• Optimizes network and design to manage trade-offs between manufacturing, transportation, distribution and customer order to delivery expectations across short, mid-term and long-term horizons
• Ensures supplier performance related to the transactional supply chain including: service levels, on time delivery, PO accuracy and program management (VMI and min/max)
• Collaborates with Sourcing on supplier program management to minimize total landed cost while having a high level of service to manufacturing
• Oversees the S&OP process and delivering the annual sales plan
• Establishes demand planning processes to deliver credible demand signals to use for make, move and buy decisions
• Ensures COE development of system and process design for transformation
• Accountable for reliability of planning systems, input/output of data and alignment with SCM and ERP software/processes
• Works collaboratively with Customer Service, Distribution, Transportation, Supply Chain Planning and FP&A to ensure that day to day execution aligns with long term strategy
• Develops a team culture of continuous improvement/transformation, accountability and influence through partners, systems and processes
• Facilitates financial analysis and provides recommendations accounting for both supply chain profitability and customer experience
• Translates customer requirements and aligns internal teams on end to end process and system design to achieve required service levels and optimize profitability
• Creates synergetic partnerships with manufacturers/suppliers and existing customers to identify and execute redistribution models
• Develops a team culture of continuous improvement/transformation, accountability, influence and advocacy of change through partners, systems and suppliers and processes for the entire Sourcing area of responsibility
• Responsible to align the organization around the category strategy developed with the Category Managers
• Works collaboratively across the organization to ensure sourcing initiatives align with the mid and long term organizational strategies
• Manage effective supplier relationships and performance
• Develop and stay current on market intelligence for assigned commodities
• Accountable to meet Sourcing goals for assigned categories such as cost savings, quality, payment terms, compliance to requirements, risk plans, and supplier sustainability innovation efforts.
• Employ the appropriate use of risk management tools
• Direct transportation team activities to drive improvement in the areas of cost and service.
• Develop strategy to ensure sufficient carrier capacity year round to meet all demands; customer, interplant, and inbound shipments.
• Responsible for setting the strategy with Sales to ensure we are recovering outbound freight costs from our customers.
• Develop SFI culture, train, coach, and evaluate the transportation planners to drive the continuous improvement.
• Partner with sales, operations, purchasing, logistics, and distribution to develop plans to optimize the entire supply chain
• Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements.
• Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups.
• Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
