About The Position

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain function to ensure that manufacturing operations are supplied efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards. This role includes full ownership of demand planning, master production planning, scheduling, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supplier performance. The position incorporates all production scheduling responsibilities, including work order coordination, capacity alignment, material planning, and schedule adherence, ensuring products are manufactured on time and meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Production Planning & Scheduling (Full Ownership) Lead and manage all production planning and scheduling activities for the facility.
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly master production schedules aligned with customer demand and business objectives.
  • Translate forecasts and sales orders into executable production plans.
  • Oversee work order creation, release, prioritization, and tracking within the ERP system.
  • Ensure alignment between labor capacity, equipment, tooling, and material availability.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and implement corrective actions for delays or bottlenecks.
  • Adjust schedules proactively based on demand changes, supply disruptions, or operational constraints.
  • Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Procurement, and Quality to ensure seamless execution.
  • Directly manage Planner(s)/Scheduler(s) and establish standardized planning processes.
  • Lead site-level S&OP alignment activities.
  • Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Develop and execute sourcing strategies for strategic commodities such as resin, packaging, tooling, utilities, and capital equipment.
  • Evaluate alternative materials in collaboration with Quality and Engineering.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with corporate policies and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor market conditions to optimize purchasing opportunities.
  • Inventory & Materials Management Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demand while minimizing excess stock.
  • Monitor inventory health and working capital impact.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Production to align inventory with forecasted requirements.
  • Supplier Management & Development Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers aligned with company objectives.
  • Lead supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Resolve supplier disputes including quality and delivery issues.
  • Logistics & Transportation Manage freight and logistics functions to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
  • Maintain carrier relationships and resolve delivery issues.
  • Compliance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Ensure sourced materials meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Generate documentation for audits and ISO compliance.
  • Analyze supply chain and production data to improve efficiency.
  • Track KPIs including On-Time Delivery, Schedule Adherence, Inventory Turns, and Backlog.
