About The Position

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Supply Chain Manager to lead planning, procurement, inventory, and logistics activities within our fast-paced additive manufacturing operation. This role requires a collaborative leader who can translate customer demand into executable plans, drive cross-functional alignment, and balance customer delivery, operational efficiency, and inventory performance. Success in this position requires the ability to work effectively in an environment that is not always well-defined, where planning processes may be manual and continuous improvement opportunities are abundant. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Seven or more years of progressive experience in supply chain, production planning, purchasing, manufacturing operations, or related disciplines, including experience operating in complex manufacturing environments.
  • Three or more years of experience leading and developing planning, supply chain, purchasing, or operations teams.
  • Experience supporting regulated manufacturing environments such as medical devices, aerospace, defense, life sciences, or other highly controlled industries.
  • Strong working knowledge of demand planning, master production scheduling (MPS), capacity planning, inventory management, procurement, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
  • Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems to support planning, inventory control, procurement, and operational decision-making.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support business decisions.
  • Proven ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on, balancing day-to-day operational priorities with long-term planning objectives.
  • Demonstrated success working across functions to influence stakeholders, resolve constraints, and drive alignment toward shared business goals.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where processes and systems may not always be well-defined, requiring adaptability, sound judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and team development skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, or other relevant supply chain certification.
  • Advanced degree, such as an MBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven success supporting additive manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, or high-mix, low-volume production environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic supplier partnerships, manage supplier performance programs, and drive continuous improvement across the supply base.
  • Proven track record of leading supply chain transformation, ERP optimization, and scalable process improvement initiatives within a growing manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and mentor the planning, purchasing, inventory, logistics, and build preparation teams.
  • Establish department objectives aligned with business strategy and customer commitments.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
  • Manage departmental performance through KPIs, coaching, and employee development.
  • Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align customer demand with manufacturing capacity and business objectives.
  • Analyze customer demand, forecasts, backlog, and market trends to develop executable supply plans.
  • Present capacity scenarios and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate plant planning activities with global supply chain and commercial teams.
  • Own the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and ensure alignment between customer demand, manufacturing capacity, and material availability.
  • Develop short- and long-term production plans that maximize throughput and customer service.
  • Balance production priorities, equipment utilization, labor resources, and inventory investment.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and proactively resolve capacity constraints.
  • Manage Build/File Prep team, driving improvement and integration of the different planning processes with the Build/File prep process.
  • Develop inventory strategies that balance service levels, working capital, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure material availability through effective supplier management and purchasing activities.
  • Monitor supplier performance, inventory accuracy, and logistics execution.
  • Drive improvements in inventory control, warehouse operations, and shipping performance.
  • Develop and monitor supply chain KPIs including: On-Time Delivery (OTD), Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Turns, Schedule Adherence, Capacity Utilization, Supplier OTIF, Working Capital.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning accuracy, process standardization, ERP optimization, and supply chain performance.
