Requirements

  • Relevant functional certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management, APICS CPIM)
  • Excellent understanding of supply chain processes and relevant software (ERP systems).
  • Previous and proven experience leading teams.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems and advanced planning tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt/Black Belt) is preferred.
  • Experience in an electrical products manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Sourcing experience related to both electrical and mechanical components is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing & Procurement: Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Lead sourcing and procurement strategy in collaboration with sales management to optimize cost, lead time and quality.
  • Oversee supplier performance and initiatives that lead to continuous improvement in results.
  • Scheduling: Provide oversight for production scheduling methods utilizing demand forecasts and capacity constraints.
  • Optimize production flow by coordinating material availability and production timelines.
  • Ensure timely delivery of material to meet customer demands.
  • Own and implement the master scheduling function, including rough cut capacity planning, Supply Review S&OP step, and order confirmation process
  • Drive the implementation and execution of the S&OP process on the supply side, with the support of the Director of Operations
  • Material Planning Optimization: Define strategies to optimize material planning utilizing appropriate manufacturing strategies.
  • Analyze demand patterns and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production schedules with material availability.
  • Inventory Management: Create and manage inventory optimization strategies to achieve target inventory turns while maintaining customer on-time delivery.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring reliable and consistent deliveries.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on cost reduction initiatives.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Optimization: Drive initiatives that will improve material flow from receiving to production and overall material movement through outbound shipping.
  • Participate in strategic planning discussions related to production capacity, lead times, and risk management.
  • Drive long-term supply chain optimization efforts.
