This position reports to: Operations Manager In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team to execute purchasing and logistics strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. Each day, you will ensure execution in accordance with company and Procurement team instructions and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. The work model for the role is: Hybrid out of Bartlesville, OK #LI-Hybrid

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related disciplines or equivalent experience
  • 8+ Years of experience and track record in sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management in global complex companies, preferably in direct material and Industrial automation, automotive, and aerospace environments.
  • Very good understanding of regulations and geopolitical environment
  • Highly proactive and results-driven attitude, strategic approach to decision-making from a global perspective.
  • Experience in a highly international and multi-cultural environment
  • Knowledge of contractual law and regulations, international trade, code standards at global/local and regional level
  • Possess a thorough understanding of SAP.

Nice To Haves

  • Change management experience is a distinct plus
  • Knowledge of SAP Ariba is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly and ensuring alignment between local procurement activities and division strategy.
  • Lead a team of 14+ local and offshore Procurement and Purchasing Specialists.
  • Implementing programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, and delivery, in accordance with group/business area procurement guidelines and global division/business area objectives.
  • Securing full utilization of the SAP Ariba platform according to the relevant procedure, both related to sharing supplier information and finding existing high-performing suppliers to ABB.
  • Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending, and savings forecasts.
