About The Position

The Supply Chain Manager will lead demand and supply planning processes, ensuring alignment between customer demand, production capacity, and supplier capabilities. This role involves developing and maintaining inventory strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize excess/obsolete inventory, and prevent shortages. The manager will oversee inventory control and accuracy, analyze forecasts and trends to improve planning, and collaborate with various departments to ensure material availability and production continuity. Continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes, inventory management, and system utilization are key. This position also involves managing ERP/MRP systems, identifying supply chain risks, and leading planning and inventory teams. Other related duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Three to Five years of related Supply Chain Management experience in an Engineer-to-order manufacturing, OEM, aerospace, or defense environment.
  • Demonstrated progressive career development with increasing responsibilities, with an emphasis in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of production flow, inventory flow, and documentation procedures.
  • Ability to organize time effectively to satisfactorily complete assigned tasks and functions. This includes planning of workflow and meetings.
  • Excellent computer skills with an emphasis in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS/ISM/Supply Chain certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead demand and supply planning processes, ensuring alignment between customer demand, production capacity, and supplier capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain inventory strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize excess/obsolete inventory, and prevent shortages.
  • Oversee inventory control and accuracy, including cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation processes.
  • Analyze forecasts, historical data, and trends to improve planning accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, and sales to ensure material availability and production continuity.
  • Monitor and report key KPIs such as inventory turns, service levels, forecast accuracy, and working capital performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes, inventory management, and system utilization.
  • Manage ERP/MRP systems to ensure accurate planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, reorder points).
  • Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain stability and service.
  • Lead and develop planning and inventory teams, ensuring capability growth and accountability.
  • Other related duties and projects as assigned.
