About The Position

Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) manages best-in-class surface transportation programs for our internal and external customers. Connecting vendors, fulfillment centers, sort centers, air gateways, United States Postal Service (USPS) and final mile delivery stations. If a truck load needs to be moved, we deliver results. Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world and we distribute over a billion shipments each year to our loyal customers. ATS is seeking a Supply Chain Manager/ Middle Mile Performance Manager to help develop a world class logistics process that delivers goods on time at the best cost. Our team objective is to manage freight flowing through our North American transportation networks, specifically focused on transportation carrier programs and performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
  • Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level, including: compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc.
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience of Six Sigma/ Lean analytical techniques
  • Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the design, development, and delivery of key programs, metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to inform business decisions across customer-facing programs.
  • Analyze data across databases using Excel, SQL, Amazon Quick, and other data management systems, and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Use AI to improve efficiency while maintaining ownership of accuracy and credibility of outputs.
  • Influence third-party (3P) carrier leadership and Amazon technology teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance service, iterate technology, and strengthen vendor engagement and growth.
  • Assess how Middle Mile Box Truck (MMBT) supply chains can efficiently serve each program, identify opportunities, and align with key stakeholders to influence program decision-making.
  • Travel domestically 25%–50%.
