A day in the life Join Amazon's dynamic North America Destination Operations team as a Supply Chain Manager I, where you'll play an important supporting role in optimizing our global logistics network. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
  • 2+ years of supply chain experience
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Experience managing external vendors, distributors, partners or logistics providers

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or equivalent
  • Experience in MS Access and SQL
  • Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
  • 3+ years of supply chain experience
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Knowledge of process improvement, ideally including Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic initiatives related to network capacity within Amazon's various business units, working within established processes.
  • Contribute to optimizing and managing the flow of goods, information, or services within the supply chain network.
  • Assist in balancing supply and demand, and support efforts to assess and improve the efficiency of distribution networks, warehouses, or logistics operations.
  • Analyze and synthesize data to identify opportunities for enhancing customer experiences and operational efficiency in network capacity.
  • Support the definition of metrics and contribute to program management mechanisms and process improvements to inform decision-making in network capacity situations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners as directed, supporting alignment and facilitating progress toward shared network capacity goals.
  • Contribute to project workstreams related to network capacity, supporting continuous improvement and adherence to lean philosophy at scale.
  • Assist in managing a portfolio of cross-functional programs related to network capacity, contributing to performance improvement and efficiency in project delivery.
  • Identify operational gaps and escalate recommendations to leadership, with a focus on logistics strategy and transportation optimization.
  • Monitor key network capacity metrics and support efforts to ensure the smooth flow of goods or services through the supply chain network.
