About The Position

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Management, Material Program Manager (MPM) for the Raytheon Advanced Products & Systems (APS), Advanced Fighter Systems (AFS) Program Area. This role requires advanced/applied knowledge of the subcontract management, material requirements planning (MRP) process, project management, program startup and closeout processes, and proposal activities. International supplier management and Earned Value management are a plus. Typically viewed as an expert in multiple aspects of MRP, this role requires broad knowledge of financial, project, and material management. In this role, you will apply your existing knowledge of Supply Chain, material requirements planning, and business acumen within a matrixed organization. You will develop and lead a material program strategy/plan for large international franchise opportunities as part of an integrated product team (IPT). Additionally, you will participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities as the program(s) transition from the low-rate initial design & development phase into full-rate production phases. The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one’s own job function as well as with parties external to the organization. You will have the opportunity to lead projects, budgeting and financial management, and issue and conflict resolution. As a member of a product team in a matrixed environment, you will frequently need to communicate at an executive level within and outside your function, using your ability to influence others outside of your immediate work area to explain and gain alignment on plans, policies, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience leading international procurement efforts/activities such as application of EXIM policies, compliance requirements, and/or related regulatory processes
  • Experience supporting product lifecycle activities from New Product Introduction (NPI)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading Supply Chain related New Product Introduction (NPI) and/or Transition to Production (T2P) activities

Responsibilities

  • Principles, concepts, industry practices and standards related to MRP planning systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle and other next generation ERP systems)
  • Work closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to ensure successful supplier management and execution in supporting program needs and requirements
  • Master Data, MRP Scheduling and Material Sales Forecasting
  • Develop and execute Material Strategies which support Customer requirements and meet Program objectives
  • Generating Supplier Request for Proposals / Quotes (RFP’s / RFQ’s)
  • Financial management (i.e., EV, budgets, targets, working capital, proposals, material sales forecasts, etc.)
  • Own the supplier management process (i.e., Supplier Risk/Opportunity Management Plan, supplier performance, metrics, EXIM, develop/evaluate the make/buy strategy, the Collaborative Agreement process, etc.)
  • Communicate customer flow-through requirements such as FAR 12, FAR 15, DFAR, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
  • Maintain the integrity of the MRP environment and related programs’ schedule within that environment
  • Balance supply and demand to create/maintain executable schedules
  • Issue/Conflict resolution within organizations, between organizations and with suppliers
  • Generate and manage Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Risk & Opportunities
  • Utilize analytical skills to evaluate end-to-end planning and identify constraints, risks and opportunities
  • Domestic and international travel required
