About The Position

As a Supply Chain Management Intern at APS, you will contribute to decisions that help APS deliver reliable service to customers and communities. In this position you will gain hands-on work experience supporting a diverse range of supply chain projects, including contract management, inventory management, procurement operations, strategic sourcing data analysis, and process improvement. This role provides meaningful exposure to how supply chain professionals partner across the business to support operational excellence while exploring innovative ways to improve work through technology, automation, data, and AI-enabled tools.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Supply Chain Management or related field with a record of ongoing academic achievement.
  • Strong analytical skills with an interest, experience or exposure to using data to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Strong digital mindset with the ability to learn and responsibly leverage technology, automation, data, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, Power BI, Teams, Copilot, and other collaboration or reporting technologies.
  • A curious, resourceful mindset with a willingness to learn, solve problems, explore new technologies, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse stakeholders and teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate or graduate degree program.
  • Must show ongoing achievement in areas of study and training.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Microsoft 365 proficiency, including Excel, PowerBI, Teams, Copilot, and other collaboration or reporting tools.
  • Experience with data analytics and the ability to interpret information, identify trends, and use insights to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating and communicating with internal and external stakeholders to understand and meet procurement requirements.
  • Leading and managing strategic sourcing events in support of strategic and cost savings targets and initiatives.
  • Supporting procurement operations by reviewing requisitions and placing purchase orders for various commodities in support of business requirements across the company.
  • Performing data analysis related to supplier spend, total cost of ownership, market drivers, inventory management and other business needs using available reporting, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools where appropriate.
  • Supporting Supply Chain Management processes, policies and procedures by identifying opportunities to streamline work, improve documentation, and apply digital tools or automation where appropriate.
  • Managing and supporting projects that provide exposure to Supply Chain’s collaboration with enterprise partners, including Generation, Transmission and Distribution and Corporate business units.
