About The Position

The Supply Chain Management (SCM) function at Chevron plays a foundational role in enabling the company's progress by ensuring a reliable supply of materials, services, and logistics. P/SCM's vision is to be proactive partners, essential experts, and commercial stewards to enable Chevron to deliver the energy the world needs. The function collaborates internally and externally to deliver goods and services safely, reliably, and at a competitive cost, encompassing strategic processes such as Category Management, Contracting, Strategic Sourcing, Market Intelligence, Procurement Operations, Materials Management, Logistics, and Supplier Diversity/Local Content. The P/SCM Development Program (PSCMDP) Interns will gain a comprehensive understanding of Chevron’s business, people, and culture while acquiring hands-on Procurement and Supply Chain Management experience. Interns will undertake various tasks and projects, including supply chain analyses, market research, data and process analysis, and supporting digital solutions for efficiency and data-driven decision-making. They will interact frequently with leadership and senior managers. Assignments cover the end-to-end global supply chain across multiple asset classes and business units, driven by business needs. Prior internship assignments have included Business Intelligence & Data Visualization, Strategic Sourcing, Business Process Improvement, Digital Solutions Evaluation, Performance Benchmarking, and Market Intelligence.

Requirements

  • First-year MBA (Master of Business Administration) or Master’s students interested in Procurement/Supply Chain Management.
  • Geographically mobile.
  • Permanent US Work Authorization.
  • Prior interns typically have completed a bachelor's degree in a technical and/or analytical discipline (e.g., engineering, finance, data science, business analytics, etc.) and have 3+ years’ work experience.
  • Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
  • Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
  • Chevron regrets that it is unable to sponsor employment Visas or consider individuals on time-limited Visa status for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct various supply chain analyses, including internal and external market research studies.
  • Perform data and process analysis.
  • Support innovative digital solutions that help drive efficiency and data-driven decision making for P/SCM management and cross-operating company procurement teams.
  • Complete a variety of tasks and may work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Assignments span the end-to-end global supply chain across multiple asset classes, Corporate, and Business Unit roles.
