About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a BDS Experienced Supply Chain Management Analyst to support the BDS Materials management team in Des Moines, WA. This role involves applying Supply Chain Management (SCM) methodologies to ensure coordination in the global supply chain, analyzing complex material requirements, and determining part number attributes. The analyst will initiate, coordinate, and authorize the release of orders by evaluating system requirements and resource availability, ensuring on-time delivery, and documenting/resolving order delinquencies. Additionally, the position focuses on developing and controlling inventory plans, optimizing inventory levels, analyzing and dispositioning excess inventories, and initiating audits. The role also includes assisting in developing estimates and schedules for new business proposals and implementing process improvements by analyzing and establishing best practices for materials management to enhance SCM performance. The role works under general direction.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience supporting Operations, Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment
  • 1+ years’ experience supporting deliverables for both internal/external customers across multiple disciplines
  • 1+ year of experience with Material Requirements Planning, including the use of Compass Contract or a similar MRP system
  • 1+ year of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience in Production Control and Material Management processes
