About The Position

The Supply Chain Intern is hosted by the Supply Chain Department at one of our manufacturing/distribution facilities, or headquarters. The identified candidate for this program will start May 24, 2027 and end July 30, 2027 at our Global Headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. The program includes early career development programming, such as workshops, info sessions, and networking opportunities through the GSC Program Team.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the internship or co-op program
  • Must have at least one (1) year of work experience using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management (e.g. Industrial Management, Supply Chain, Engineering Technology, Logistics with concentration in related Operations field, etc.)
  • Have previous Sherwin-Williams Internship or Co-op experience
  • Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.
  • Be a rising or current junior or senior in college or university at the start of the internship program

Responsibilities

  • Support and participate in employee engagement initiatives and site events to promote a positive and workplace culture
  • Work with the Inventory Planning Manager on monthly production, sales and inventory projections for our plants
  • Analyze the manufacturing supply network for finished goods for the US and Canada with the Finished Good Sourcing team
  • Assist Master Production Schedulers with day-to-day report running
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement Forecasting Projects
  • Review and analyze statistical forecasts
  • Identify and review low frequency purchased items / move to Make to Order
  • Participate in Inventory reduction projects – Updating IQR, Min Stock Reviews, Weekly Review of “Always In” lists for top priority BU items
  • Understand the systems in which Global Supply Chain Operates and where to find information
  • Help the sites balance inventories at distribution centers
  • Review forecasts and batch sizes to ensure appropriate size is being made
