At Cooper University Health Care, the Supply Chain team is dedicated to managing goods and services responsibly to deliver value for the Health Care System, improve the patient experience, and reduce risks. The team is structured into several strategic divisions: Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Distribution, Inventory Optimization, and Data Management. This internship program seeks highly resourceful and motivated students to join the team. Interns will partner with team members across all divisions to work on a variety of analysis, operational, financial, and practical application projects covering all facets of the healthcare supply chain industry. The program offers the opportunity to work on real-world problems, be involved in the entire lifecycle of the healthcare supply chain ecosystem, and collaborate with business leaders to define problems and communicate outcomes. The Supply Chain Intern will complete a minimum of 200 hours of participation on-site at various locations of The Cooper Health System, working with leaders and team members of the Supply Chain Divisions. The work schedule will be developed individually to accommodate the student’s class schedules and availability, with hours completed during normal business hours of 8 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Additionally, the intern will work with the VP of Supply Chain to develop a project addressing an opportunity for increased resiliency, efficiency, or cost management within the supply chain ecosystem, which will be presented to the Senior Finance Leadership Team at the end of the internship.
