About The Position

This position performs all processes related to material follow up. Provides visibility to management by tracking, processing, auditing, researching and trouble-shooting issues specific to material follow up. Manage material flow from suppliers through to the parts distribution centers. Refers to operational standards and processes to make decisions impacting supplier ship dates and overall customer requirements. Interacts and owns relationship with suppliers on behalf of the customer to ensure parts are shipped on time. Requirements

• Perform all processes related to material follow up.
• Track, process, audit, research and trouble-shoot issues specific to material follow up.
• Manage material flow from suppliers through to the parts distribution centers.
• Make decisions impacting supplier ship dates and overall customer requirements.
• Interact and own relationship with suppliers on behalf of the customer to ensure parts are shipped on time.

Responsibilities

• Monitor suppliers and perform follow up on parts to ensure shipment deadlines are met.
• Timely and accurately communicate and document critical information to internal associates and the customers.
• Push suppliers for promise dates and promise quantities.
• Hold them accountable to meet these dates and quantities.
• Ensure proper escalation is performed when supplier is not meeting ship dates.
• Partner with team to communicate and drive performance standards.
• Identify continuous improvement areas.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
