About The Position

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning and optimizing of the balance of inventory across the supply chain network in line with target customer service, forecast accuracy and safety stock levels, for the allocated portfolio of SKU's for which she/he is accountable. The Supply Chain Coordinator acts as an assistant to the lead Planner who communicates to manufacturing and other functional groups to ensure alignment that achieves diverse multi-functional goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with individuals possessing various degrees of technical expertise.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Access.
  • Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing, operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues.
  • Good communication and team building skills.
  • Detail oriented, Extreme accuracy.
  • Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical skills.
  • Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics.
  • Ability to lead cross-functionally.
  • Collaborative skills in resolving long and short positions in inventory.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the supply plan for all products through the complete production cycle
  • Works with manufacturing managers/supervisors to optimize the supply plan within defined parameters that results in the most efficient and effective schedule and workflow for each production section/team.
  • Works with the production team to address planning / scheduling remedies to address attainment issues with the Director of Supply Chain defines and implements finished goods inventory goals and defines methods and measures to ensure compliance to goals.
  • Maintains, reviews and analyzes appropriate production records covering all relevant elements of the production cycle to determine possible impact to future supply plans.
  • Ensures all interdepartmental process that impact product production and product quality support the supply plan.
  • Evaluates the potential impact to the supply plan and production for product that is on quality hold and may be coming off of hold.
  • Motivates and guides individuals and departments in the implementation of actions that facilitate timely production of quality products
  • Proactively works with all departments, especially Customer Service, Production, and Sales to ensure alignment on objectives to achieve customer case fill rate and order fill rate goals are achieved.
  • Conducts daily activities in accordance with safety policies.
  • Compliance to all policies, procedures and work instructions is crucial to the successful operation of this facility and is a job requirement
  • Must report any non-compliance or non-conformance to these policies, procedures and work instructions to management
  • Submits timely production data and status reports to managerial team as required
  • Attends company scheduled meetings when applicable (i.e., safety meetings, production meetings, department meetings.).
  • Must be active in our company's safety programs
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required

  • Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments. Must follow all Company Safety policies, as well as all GMP regulations and all lock-out/tag-out requirements according to OSHA requirements.
  • As part of your coordinator responsibility and as a back-up, managers must be able to do your work in ways that ensure safe food. You must also be aware of issues associated with food safety and safe food handling practices that are relevant to your job.
