Supply Chain Clerk
About The Position
Perform material handling duties including operating of equipment for product receiving, disbursement, inventory checks, and other basic inventory management functions. This role involves inputting daily item orders, performing daily stock checks, and managing customer pickups. The clerk will ensure inventory items are counted, rotated, and replenished daily, adhering to all procedures. They will stock and inventory product on carts or within assigned areas, manage par levels, and check for compromised or expired inventory. Receiving inbound materials, marking them with identifying information, recording received amounts, and sorting/stocking them in accordance with predetermined sequences are key tasks. The position also includes quality control, moving carts to and from loading docks, and operating material handling equipment. Assisting with customer requests while maintaining high customer service standards and performing onsite cleanup duties are also part of the responsibilities.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 months of related work or training.
- Must be able to read and communicate in English.
- Must have basic math skills (addition/subtraction) and strong interpersonal/relationship building skills.
- Must have a high sense of urgency and be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma
- At least 1 year experience working in a hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Input daily item orders and perform daily stock checks as well as customer pickups as needed.
- Ensure inventory items are counted, rotated and replenished daily and all procedures are followed.
- Stock and inventory product on carts or within assigned areas and manages par levels.
- Check for compromised products and expired inventory.
- Receive inbound materials and marks materials with identifying information; record amount of material received; sort materials and stock on racks, shelves or bins in accordance with predetermined sequence such as size, color, type, or product code.
- Arrange materials for order assembly.
- Quality control, moving carts to and from loading docks, and operation of material handling equipment as needed.
- Assist with any customer requests while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Housekeeping duties including all forms of onsite cleanup.
