About The Position

The Supply Chain Business Operations Intern will work at the intersection of data analytics, strategy design, market intelligence, and digital transformation. The role partners with business analysts and strategists to identify opportunities to evolve Zipline’s supply chain, develop and execute strategies, and operationalize digital workflows. These efforts aim to improve unit economics and support long-term growth.

The internship is full-time and in person at Zipline’s South San Francisco office. The Spring 2027 internship runs from January through April or May 2027. The hourly rate is $37. Additional benefits may include relocation support, a housing stipend, overtime pay, paid sick time, and other benefits, where applicable and subject to local requirements.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and experience analyzing data and generating insights.
• Interest in supply chain excellence, process improvement, digital transformation, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Power BI or Tableau, and automation tools; coding experience is a plus.
• Ability to build simple MVPs or prototypes, test ideas quickly, and iterate based on feedback.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence on the latest best-practice supply chain operations.
• Manage programs to achieve Supply Chain goals and own reporting.
• Build business intelligence to inform Supply Chain operational excellence, cost control, and supply continuity improvement.
• Develop strategies for Supply Chain operational excellence and drive implementation.
• Create enablement materials to help the software development team develop future digital solutions.
• Build digital tools to measure and oversee Supply Chain KPIs.
