About The Position

The Part-time Supply Chain Associate supports supply chain operations at Fastenal’s branch in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The role includes managing inventory and supporting business-to-business operations through procurement, sourcing, and quoting to meet customer needs. A flexible schedule may be available after onboarding and training and upon meeting performance goals. Training includes on-the-job, online, instructor-led classroom, and virtual learning opportunities designed to develop employees’ skills and support their growth with the company.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a current, full, valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located, have completed any applicable graduated licensing program, and meet driving record requirements to use a company vehicle as needed.
Possess or be working toward a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, or have customer service or industry-related work experience.
Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Have proficient computer skills.
Be highly motivated, self-directed, and customer-service oriented.
Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities.
Exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills.
Demonstrate the company’s core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
Be able to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages typically weighing 25–50 pounds and sometimes up to 75 pounds.
Pass the required drug screen where applicable in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Guam.

Responsibilities

Manage branch inventory levels.
Administer procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management.
Estimate and quote prices and source products.
Coordinate resources to respond to customer supply chain needs.
Support accounts receivable activities.
Make deliveries using a company vehicle as necessary.
Perform other duties as needed to ensure branch success.
