Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Must)
  • Discreet and able to handle private and confidential information
  • Capability to deal efficiently and effectively with Suppliers and Peers
  • Produce high quality work – good accuracy, effective and consistent
  • Good command of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Advanced Excel (VBA / Macros) and PowerPoint
  • Effective in communicating and collaborating with internal and external people
  • A team player & strong inter-personal skill

Responsibilities

  • A Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO) acts as the primary point of contact between an organization and small businesses, ensuring compliance with government subcontracting regulations, identifying qualified diverse suppliers, and facilitating partnerships.
  • Ensure company compliance with government regulations (such as FAR 52.219-9) regarding small business subcontracting.
  • Conduct outreach to identify and build relationships with small, disadvantaged, women-owned, veteran-owned, and HUBZone businesses.
  • Work with purchasing agents and buyers to include small businesses in bidding, proposals, and contract awards.
  • Train internal teams (buyers, procurement) on small business policies and mentor staff on utilizing diverse suppliers.
  • Act as a liaison to address concerns from small businesses and resolve conflicts regarding contracts or procurement processes
