The Position The Opportunity In this highly impactful role for Roche Diagnostics Canada, you are the primary orchestrator of our local "order-to-delivery" lifecycle. You are a strategic enabler charged with shifting our operations to seamless, automated, and customer-centric. You replace systemic manual bottlenecks with AI/ERP automation and translate commercial strategies into flawless, customer-centric supply chain execution through solid partnering with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and Finance to drive customer-centric Supply Chain. You challenge the status quo and drive change and innovation to transform the supply chain function into a modernized efficient powerhouse. Additionally you are a servant leader who proactively fosters high-performing culture. You set clear goals and drive accountability. You empower, attract top talent, and guide leaders and teams towards high performance and effectiveness in order to maximize operational efficiency and excellence. You will lead (Customer Service & Spare Part & Instrument Logistics, Distribution Center (Warehouse), Transportation and Inventory Control, Planning) through a period change. Your mission is to leverage digital automation and lean methodologies to eliminate manual bottlenecks and deploy technology ensuring medical assays and instruments reach Canadians with "Right First Time" precision. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business.
  • 7+ years of Supply Chain leadership; preferably within a regulated MedTech, Pharma, or Life Sciences environment.
  • Prior experience leading people leaders
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and navigating complex environments, ambiguity and change by inspiring a shared purpose while remaining flexible and supportive of team growth. (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach - VACC Leadership).
  • Strong systems‑thinking mindset, balancing short‑term operational needs with long‑term growth objectives.
  • Excellent ability to influence and collaborate with experienced employees, customer facing functions, suppliers, financial partners, project managers, and executive leadership
  • Experience with Tier 1 ERPs (SAP/ SAP S/4 HANA preferred).
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) and a track record of implementing automation/AI solutions
  • Proficient levels of English and French are required.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or Master’s in Logistics is a significant asset
  • APICS (CPIM/CSCP) and Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt are preferred assets

Responsibilities

  • Transform the Supply Chain into a strategic partner that enables business growth and meets customer needs.
  • Drive joint decision-making with Finance, IT, and Customer-facing departments regarding operational strategies, budgeting, and capacity optimization, resolving potential trade-offs to prioritize customer outcomes.
  • Partner with global and regional teams to create a cohesive Supply Chain strategy that effectively aligns supply planning and distribution to meet market demands.
  • Drive operational excellence.
  • Architect a resilient end-end process landscape.
  • Replace manual workarounds (e.g., manual spare parts creation, logistics and customer handling exceptions) with standardized, automated workflows.
  • Play a pivotal role in conceptualizing, creating and driving the Supply Chain digital roadmap in partnership with experts.
  • Proactively identify skill gaps as the organization shifts toward AI and SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Establish clear priorities, accountability, and effective management processes to ensure operational excellence.
  • Uncover root issues derailing effectiveness and leverage your expertise to propose and create impactful solutions.
  • Act as a catalyst and communications conduit between Sales and Marketing departments and Supply Chain to ensure balance in inventory and alignment with market demands.
  • Attain key performance deliverables such as inventory levels, distribution costs, and writeoffs.
  • Ensure operational excellence, sustainability and compliance within your area of responsibility.
  • Cultivate a resilient, inclusive and collaborative culture that fosters wellbeing.
  • Address workforce capacity gaps, initiate proactive succession strategies and integrate AI to support the organization.
  • Coach the team and foster mindsets of Roche Operating Principles within the team.
  • Develop digital fluencies to enhance and accelerate digital capabilities and encourage process improvement.
  • Continue to strengthen leadership within the departments, focusing on training, inclusion, and business continuity.
  • In partnership with the SHE Officer, foster a safe and healthy work environment, integrating Environmental Health, Safety, and Facilities support with warehouse floor operations.
