About The Position

Shearer Supply is seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Supply Chain Analyst to purchase products, manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and maintain appropriate inventory levels across its distribution network. The position works closely with the Residential divisions to support product availability, competitive costs, and efficient inventory management across warehouse locations. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and negotiation skills, understands inventory management, and can balance product availability with budget and profitability goals.

Responsibilities

Manage purchasing activities across Shearer Supply’s Residential divisions.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to support company purchasing needs.
Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, and vendor agreements to maximize cost savings and profitability.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to maintain appropriate stock availability.
Work with vendors to expedite orders, resolve shortages, and address delivery delays or product availability issues.
Balance inventory investment with customer demand, warehouse capacity, and established purchasing budgets.
Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency, reduce costs, optimize inventory, and increase gross profit.
Review vendor performance, pricing structures, and product availability to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Develop and maintain purchasing reports and key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory turnover, gross profit, purchasing performance, vendor performance, and forecasting accuracy.
Collaborate with internal teams and management to support purchasing strategies and overall business goals.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure purchase orders and vendor information are up to date.
