Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Legal or Regulatory Affairs or related field, and at least 5 years of experience as a purchasing agent, logistics analyst, supply chain analyst, or related occupation in supply chain; or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Legal or Regulatory Affairs or related field, and 3 years of experience as a purchasing agent, logistics analyst, supply chain analyst, or related occupation in supply chain.
  • Must possess 3 years of experience with supplier selection and supplier performance.
  • Must possess 3 years of experience with adherence to schedules and technical/quality requirements.
  • Must possess 3 years of experience managing the efficient supply of special and custom design components.
  • Must possess 3 years of experience with complex hardware manufacturing in low to mid volume environments.
  • Must possess 3 years of experience managing CAPEX and working with Finance and accounting.
  • Must possess 3 years of experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Access, Power BI, and other Analytical tools.
  • APICS Supply Chain Certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and recommend suppliers by researching potential supplier capabilities, services, and materials availability. Prepare statements of work for items proposed for procurement. Develop potential bidders lists and formal requests for quotation or proposal.
  • Conduct supplier site visits and evaluate capability, performance, quality, delivery, and other key business criteria. May support or lead supplier surveys as part of a technical or quality team.
  • Evaluate proposals from incumbent and potential suppliers. Select suppliers for a variety of highly complex or technical materials, supplies or services and negotiate price, delivery, quality and service. Mitigate company risk by developing alternate sources of supply when necessary.
  • Negotiate final terms and conditions of purchase, awards and administers the procurement contract or purchase order to conclusion. Maintain accurate lead times for assigned area. Issue purchase orders and agreements that accurately reflect price, schedule, terms, and conditions as negotiated with suppliers, which may include orders with international suppliers and/or subcontractors involving import/export trade.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance. Implement corrective actions to resolve impending supplier failure to fulfill contractual agreements that may delay production or delivery. Resolve shipment quality discrepancies by mediating supplier/manufacturing issues. Facilitate inspections, substitutions, and standardization by arranging and participating in conferences between suppliers and company personnel.
  • Negotiate and settle damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations and engineering changes with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier’s ability to meet all company and government or commercial procurement requirements and ensure that the pertinent technical and quality issues receive adequate attention to assure compliance.
  • Manage CAPEX for multisite, collaborating with all departments to gather Yearly CAPEX requirements and manage CAPEX database. Conduct monthly meeting to verify spending and publish management reports.
  • Understand and improve MRP / ERP database for efficient supply chain and Inventory Management.
  • Prepare complex reports and analyses by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Support operations in data analysis, providing daily scrap reports, cycle time reports and spend reports.
  • Apply continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems, coordinating improvement initiatives with key suppliers based on comparative analysis of data. May lead or be assigned to a special project team.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing trade publications, establishing networks, and/or participating in professional associations.
  • Comply with federal, state, and industry regulations; ensures adherence to requirements and advises management on needed actions. Comply with Government/Commercial Practices Manual (GPM/CPM) policies and procedures.
  • Provide support for PFAS, Reach, RoHS compliance to ESG consultants
  • Support multiple sites with all of above job duties.
  • Provide leadership to others in department. Act as primary contact on high level projects. Train and mentor junior employees.
