About The Position

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for the development, implementation, improvement, and support of inbound/outbound and Domestic/Global logistics. This position is responsible for ensuring continuous improvement of global logistics performance through systems, processes, governance, and services. The analyst will be required to manipulate data in various systems to find improvements in cost and/or transit time, maintain cost down projects, and otherwise support the global supply chain team.

Requirements

  • Degree in a logistics-related discipline (e.g., engineering, supply chain, business, etc.), extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 5 years of logistics or analytics related experience
  • Demonstrated analytical and business process skills
  • Passion for continuous improvements with the ability in manipulating data to explore, discover, investigate, visualize and to raise issues proactively and in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards or ERP system
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Power BI Tableau experience.
  • Must be able to relate well with individuals at various levels inside the organization
  • A team player able to organize, prioritize, and multi-task, adhering to and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor initiatives against benchmark metrics to pro-actively highlight areas of opportunity and improvement through gap analysis and regular communication with key stakeholders.
  • Participate in assessment, justification, implementation, and support of Logistics related projects both Domestics and international.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop and document current processes and procedures.
  • Assess global business processes in the Logistics area and work with inter-regional colleagues to develop standardized best practice processes and improve deficiencies.
  • Serve as the key global point of contact for specific Logistics process areas as identified.
  • Assist with integration activities for future acquisitions.
  • Provide timely and high-quality response to requests and feedback from internal and external customers.
  • Development of standard reports and metrics to measure key Logistics Network KPIs.
  • Perform on-going data quality analysis and manage follow-up resolution with providers to ensure data accuracy.
  • Support on-going documentation of all logistics procedures in regards to reporting, analysis, systems update, and communications and implement improvements in collaboration with process owners.
  • Development and ownership of rate databases and analysis.
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify efficiency and savings opportunities.
  • Work on global supply chain projects.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely product delivery, minimize excess inventory, and track inventory turnover and stockouts.
  • Analyze supply chain data and generate reports on KPIs like inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency, providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements for reduced lead times, cost savings, and enhanced customer service.
  • Coordinate with global branch plants to align production schedules with demand forecasts, addressing supply constraints, delays, and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
  • Partner with external stakeholders and internal teams to reduce tariffs, secure exemptions, and ensure compliance with trade regulations while pursuing cost-saving strategies.
