About The Position
AAR is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Aviation Supply Chain Analyst to support end-to-end supply chain operations. The role uses data-driven decision-making to optimize procurement, inventory, and logistics processes in the aviation sector. The analyst develops reporting and analytics, collaborates with procurement, logistics, and maintenance teams, and supports strategic sourcing, supply chain systems, and process improvements. The position requires compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR); candidates must meet the ITAR definition of a U.S. Person.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in supply chain analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for presenting insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR: a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or an individual admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
Nice To Haves
- Supply chain analytics experience in the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with aviation maintenance systems such as AMOS, TRAX, or similar.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Knowledge of statistical modeling or machine learning techniques.
Responsibilities
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and performance improvements.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support real-time decision-making.
- Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and validate data from multiple sources.
- Use Python for data transformation, automation, and advanced analytics such as forecasting and anomaly detection.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and maintenance teams to support timely availability of aviation parts and materials.
- Monitor supplier performance and inventory levels to support just-in-time delivery and minimize downtime.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives with data insights and scenario modeling.
- Assist with implementation of supply chain systems and process improvements.
