The Supply Chain Analyst is a multi-level role (Levels 1–4) responsible for driving data-driven execution and continuous improvement across materials planning, sourcing and purchasing, inventory management, and warehouse operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring material availability, inventory accuracy, and disciplined execution of ERP transactions across manufacturing. At all levels, the role partners cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Materials Management, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Project Management, and Manufacturing to identify issues, analyze data, and implement solutions that improve operational performance and support business objectives. The position progresses from foundational operational support and reporting (Level 1) to independent analysis and process ownership (Level 2), then to cross-functional leadership and system optimization (Level 3), and ultimately to enterprise-level strategy, governance, and performance framework development (Level 4). Throughout all levels, the Supply Chain Analyst is expected to: Leverage Excel, Power BI and ERP systems to transform data into actionable insights, Improve and standardize end-end supply chain processes, Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions as control mechanisms, Support audit readiness through documentation, traceability, and transaction discipline, Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in inventory control, materials management, warehouse operations, purchasing support, or supply chain analytics.
  • Demonstrated strong Excel skills and experience supporting operational reporting and analysis.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience writing and implementing work instructions/SOPs preferred; able to provide examples.

Nice To Haves

  • Solid knowledge of inventory control, materials management, purchasing support, and warehouse execution processes.
  • Strong understanding of ERP transactions and their impact on physical inventory and downstream operations.
  • Strong Excel proficiency (complex formulas, pivot tables, advanced lookups, report building, structured datasets).
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and improvement recommendations.
  • Strong writing skills with demonstrated ability to write, implement, and improve SOPs and work instructions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze inventory transactions, stock levels, and material movement to identify discrepancies, trends, and root causes.
  • Own cycle count execution for assigned areas including reconciliation, investigation, and corrective action closure.
  • Support materials planning with shortage risk reporting, coverage/availability signals, and master data validation that improves plan quality.
  • Support sourcing and purchasing by providing prioritized open order actions, past-due and high-risk PO reporting, and receiving exception visibility.
  • Support receiving, picking, staging, and issuance processes by improving transaction accuracy and identifying recurring execution errors.
  • Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports for supervisors and managers; recommend actions based on findings.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate inventory evidence, transactional traceability, and controlled documentation.
  • Write, maintain, and improve SOPs/work instructions for assigned processes; implement through training and reinforcement.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure documented processes reflect actual execution and reduce reliance on undocumented workarounds.
  • Lead small-to-medium continuous improvement initiatives focused on material flow, accuracy, and execution discipline.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
