About The Position

The Supply and Inventory Manager is responsible for leading inventory management, material control, supply planning, and shipping/receiving activities in support of integration and production programs. This role serves as the central control point for inventory accuracy, material availability, subassembly kitting, and supply chain coordination to ensure production and integration efforts are executed efficiently and on schedule. This position manages and tracks inventory across multiple integration and production programs, provides routine inventory and material status reporting, and develops and manages supply schedules aligned to program and production requirements. The Supply and Inventory Manager acts as the primary gatekeeper for all inventory transactions, material movement, and inventory accountability. The role also leads the integration, stand-up, and long-term administration of the organization’s Integrated Manufacturing Toolkit (IMT) system, ensuring successful transition, process implementation, user coordination, and ongoing system management after go-live. Working closely with Program Managers, Production Managers, Procurement, Warehouse, Engineering, Quality, Finance, internal corporate teams, production line support personnel, and external suppliers, this position plays a critical role in enabling on-time product delivery, maintaining material readiness, and supporting operational excellence.

  • Experience coordinating with Procurement and suppliers to monitor purchase order status, lead times, expected receipts, and schedule risks.
  • Experience supporting development of recovery plans for delayed material, schedule disruptions, or shifting production priorities.
  • Experience preparing work orders, stock transfer requests, move orders, and shipping requests.
  • Experience managing shipping and receiving operations.
  • Experience verifying incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, certifications, and other applicable documentation.
  • Experience coordinating receipt inspection flow and routing.
  • Experience overseeing packaging, staging, shipping documentation, and shipment coordination.
  • Experience ensuring shipping and receiving records are accurate, complete, and properly entered into applicable systems.
  • Experience leading the integration, stand-up, implementation, and transition of new systems.
  • Experience coordinating with internal stakeholders to support process migration, data readiness, workflow alignment, user adoption, and operational cutover.
  • Experience defining, documenting, and improving inventory, material control, and production support processes.
  • Experience serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day system administration related to inventory and material operations.
  • Experience monitoring system performance, identifying process gaps, and implementing improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary owner and gatekeeper of inventory across all integration and production programs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, material locations, stock levels, and transaction history across all applicable systems and physical storage locations.
  • Control and monitor inventory movement including receipt, issue, transfer, adjustment, return, and reconciliation of materials.
  • Conduct routine inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations to ensure system accuracy and accountability of all materials and components.
  • Identify inventory shortages, excesses, discrepancies, and potential risks, and coordinate corrective actions as needed.
  • Establish and enforce inventory control processes, material handling procedures, and storage discipline to improve accuracy and reduce loss or disruption.
  • Plan, prepare, issue, and control production-related material schedules to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet integration and production requirements.
  • Kit subassembly components and other required materials in support of production work orders and integration efforts.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and release material kits to support scheduled production, assembly, and test activities.
  • Ensure material availability aligns with work order release, production priorities, and program schedules.
  • Support production standups and cross-functional planning by providing material readiness status, constraints, and recovery actions.
  • Work closely with production and integration personnel to resolve shortages, substitutions, and material flow issues that could impact schedule execution.
  • Develop and manage supply chain schedules that support program milestones, integration activities, and production schedules.

  • Lead the integration, stand-up, implementation, and transition of the new Integrated Manufacturing Toolkit (IMT) system.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support process migration, data readiness, workflow alignment, user adoption, and operational cutover.
  • Help define, document, and improve inventory, material control, and production support processes within the IMT environment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day IMT system administration related to inventory and material operations after transition is complete.
