About The Position

The Supply and Equipment Handler A supports patient-focused care by helping maintain safe, clean, and functional institutional and patient-room environments. The role includes transporting patients, equipment, specimens, and belongings; ordering, receiving, and storing supplies; and completing housekeeping and related support tasks according to established procedures. This is a part-time night position at MSH.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0–1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain institution and patient rooms in safe, clean, and functional condition by completing sanitary and housekeeping tasks promptly and according to established procedures.
• Perform emergency housekeeping clean-up according to established procedures.
• Transport patients on stretchers or wheelchairs and transport specimens, equipment, and patient belongings according to established procedures.
• Monitor, report, and, when appropriate, correct unsafe or dysfunctional conditions.
• Initiate and follow up on maintenance or repair requisitions.
• Maintain in-wall cabinet stock at par level.
• Initiate and follow up on requisitions for equipment and supplies.
• Obtain charts and test order requests according to established procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including generating reports.
