About The Position

OEM Logistics, LLC, founded in January 2023 by industry veterans, specializes in providing proactive supplier management solutions for the aerospace, defense, and shipbuilding sectors. We address supply chain challenges by integrating our supplier specialists directly within client supply chain networks. Headquartered in Arizona, OEM is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking passionate Supplier Specialists with a background in manufacturing and aerospace to join our team. This is a full-time position that requires frequent local travel, with regional travel opportunities available for flexible candidates. Pre-employment background and drug screening are mandatory.

Requirements

  • US citizenship required.
  • Minimum of five to ten years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment motor vehicle history check.
  • Expertise in Supply Chain Management, Production Control, and Shop Floor Management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Programs required.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace, Defense, Ship Building, or Submarine Industry experience preferred.
  • College degree preferred. May substitute additional experience in lieu of education.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing principles, Risk Management, Six Sigma, Kaizen events, PDCA preferred.
  • Strong Project Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a partnership relationship with assigned suppliers to meet customer requirements.
  • Manage the supplier's Open Order Report in conjunction with the supplier to minimize risk and identify opportunities for delivery improvement.
  • Manage delivery performance trends and initiate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Facilitate and drive timely and effective closure of corrective actions.
  • Work with problematic sub-tiers to improve communication and establish achievable production commitments.
  • Facilitate cross-functional department communication and drive actions to prevent unnecessary delays.
  • Provide frequent written communication on mission-critical parts and overall delivery performance.
  • Track delivery performance trends and initiate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Perform periodic local travel.
  • Perform other duties as required.
