About The Position

Join our dynamic team in Huntsville, Alabama as a Supplier Quality System Integration Inspector Sr! This position involves inspecting and/or testing products to verify conformity with engineering drawings, purchase contracts, and other contractual requirements. The role requires meticulous verification of product identification, count, and condition, as well as carrier paperwork. If any discrepancies are found, the inspector initiates the grief process. The position also involves obtaining and interpreting various technical documents, setting up and operating measuring instruments, and performing tests on products and assemblies. The inspector will witness, evaluate, certify, and record testing data, and review recurring discrepancies to identify causes and necessary corrections. Internal reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards and participation in continuous process improvement efforts are also key aspects of this role. The position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Requirements

  • Experience with Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Prior quality inspection experience.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.
  • A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects and/or tests product to the Receiving Inspection Plan (RIP) to verify conformity to Engineering or other applicable drawings, Purchase Contract (PC)/Purchase Order (PO), Regulatory, site-specific inspection instructions, or other contractual requirements.
  • Verifies product identification, count, and condition, and checks carrier paperwork.
  • Initiates the grief process for unacceptable items.
  • Obtains all applicable drawings, specifications, and inspection instructions to perform mechanical and electrical receiving inspection in accordance with applicable Quality Assurance standards.
  • Verifies the delivery of required deliverable test data, with data acceptability determined per RIP and site requirements.
  • Verifies the manufacturer’s Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code or manufacturer’s address, when required.
  • Initiates Grief or Nonconformance in accordance with site requirements.
  • Ensures correction of any grief situation and continues with other verification requirements.
  • Uses and interprets DoD, NASA and Boeing blueprints, specifications, directives, documents, manuals, inspection plans and other similar information pertaining to Quality Assurance.
  • Sets up and operates measuring instruments and equipment necessary to accomplish work assignments.
  • Follows inspection and statistical sampling procedures to accept or reject materials and adjusts inspection levels.
  • Moves materials within the work area, including parts, sub-assemblies, assemblies, tools, jigs, equipment, documentation, and other supplies.
  • Packages or unpackages raw material and/or finished products.
  • Sets up equipment and performs tests on various products and assemblies using manual, semi-automatic, or automated test devices.
  • Witnesses, evaluates, certifies, and records certification testing data and maintains personal certifications.
  • Inspects incoming and outgoing shipments for proper identification, quantity, damage, packaging, paperwork, shipping instructions, and performs appropriate dimensional, composition, non-destructive, destructive and electrical/electronic inspection.
  • Reviews recurring discrepancies to ascertain cause and corrections required.
  • Reviews completed inspection records to assure compliance with pertinent written directives and other program direction.
  • Conducts internal reviews to assure compliance with the Quality Manual and other procedures.
  • Assists QA Manager in continuous process improvement efforts.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Maintains licenses, permits and certifications required to perform assigned work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned within general job classification.
