About The Position

The Supplier Quality Receiving Inspector Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Receiving Inspector to join the Supplier Quality Receiving Team located in North Charleston, SC on 1st shift. The Supplier Quality Receiving Inspection Team at BSC plays a crucial role in ensuring that only high-quality, compliant materials enter the production process. This team meticulously inspects incoming materials, identifies and addresses defects, and maintains detailed quality records, all while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements

1+ year of experience in using precision measuring instruments: Calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc. are routinely used to verify dimensions and tolerances.
1+ year of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g. blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)
1+ year of experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
1+ year of experience in a role that required strong attention to detail
To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

Relevant experience, 2-4 years, in quality inspection, especially in manufacturing or related environments like aerospace, is highly valued.
Experience with First Article Inspections (FAI): Ensuring initial production runs meet specifications.
Familiarity with quality standards and specifications: Understanding industry guidelines (like AS9100 in aerospace) and internal company standards.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles: Can be beneficial for process improvement.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) (e.g., SAP, Oracle): Used for managing inventory, tracking orders, and documenting inspection results.
Experience using quality management software (e.g., TIPQA): For managing inspection processes and documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: To identify root causes of defects, analyze inspection data, and recommend corrective actions.
